Proverbs 18:22 tells us that if we have found a wife we have found both a good thing and favor from the Lord. Today is my “good thing’s” birthday.
We have been married 35 years as of 16 days ago. She is a bit more than a good thing. She is a gifted teacher both of her special education students, women she has led in Bible study, but most importantly our kids. Now she has turned her attention to the growing number of our grandchildren which this week expands to three.
She has put up with the fallout of my gifts and drive and the resulting chaos with grace and reasonable support. She waited through seven surgeries, told twice I had cancer during that time, with first one then three small children, after the third child essentially on her own for six months as I recovered.
She has held down the fort as I have traveled on mission trips to Indonesia, Morocco, and accompanied me on the first trip to Trinidad where she met with several groups of women.
She is a prayer warrior and lover of God’s Word.
She is a good thing.

Congratulations to you both for the joy of sharing the walk with God hand in hand.
