What is Truth?
Do you ever wonder what is really going on? Do you read the paper, listen to the news, or check out headlines on the internet with some level of disbelief? That is probably a good idea.
Not Found in the World
Read John 8:42 – 47 and Ephesians 6:12. Jesus tells us that Satan is the father of lies and cannot but speak lies. Paul tells us that Satan has dominion over the world and that our struggle is with him. So if it is the case that Satan has dominion over the world and he is a liar, is it any wonder that we have a hard time getting the truth out of the systems he controls?

So where is truth? How do we find it? First of all we should not expect it from the world. John alludes to this in 1 John 2:15 – 17. We should not allow the world to lull us into some notion that we are getting the truth from any of its systems. On the other hand John 14:6 tells us that Christ is the truth. So it seems that if we are interested in truth it may be the best course of action to get to know Christ and allow Him to lead us in the truth.
