Yesterday, some time back, Christ was crucified. The Son of God killed. Placed in a tomb.
The next day, today, was dark. His disciples hid. Their hopes, even though they were hoping for the wrong things, dashed. Depressed, dejected, in despair.
Some days, some weeks, some months, some years, we seem to be in the dark.
Tomorrow is coming.

Could not be more appropriate for me these days. Maybe not as bad as "midnight" with no stars or other lights, but dark enough that I often stumble - close to falling but still staggering on.
ReplyDeleteEmotions can be wonderful responses to events; darkness not so much. Such is the battle in my soul; I know the truth and must use it to confront the dark emotions that arise spontaneously.
Yes, the Light is coming and will overwhelm the darkness. Faith will be sight. In the meantime, faith in the promises of God is a solid foundation.
