Father's Day

Notice - if you are in the Tulsa area click on the events tab above.  There is a Dad's Teach the Bible workshop starting in a couple of weeks...

So today is father’s day.  You may have noticed that this blog is about fathers.  Both physical and spiritual fathers.  So it might be a good idea to rattle your categories just a bit today.
How is each day father's day? Thoughts at DTTB.
Take a minute and read Deuteronomy 6:6 – 7.  Then look across the page or turn it and read 6:20.

Note the expectation God has on fathers.  He expects them to talk to their kids pretty much all of the time about the Word.  In other words fathers are expected by God to process life with their children through the lens of the Word of God.  Secondly, they are to live their lives that when their kids have a question about their beliefs their immediately they will think to themselves, “Dad will know.”

That requires us as dads to know and apply the Word.  That is the purpose of this blog and Entrusting Truth.  If you need help with that, let us know.  We will do everything in our power to help.

The point is, from the standpoint of the assignments in Deuteronomy 6:6 -7, 20, every day is fathers day.
